Temple of Hera - Paestum

The Second Temple of Hera, in Paestum, Italy was built around 560-550 BCE and is one of the best preserved early Greek temples.  The town of Paestum was largely abandoned in the early middle ages and rediscovered in the 18th century around the time the Roman ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum were rediscovered.
